Privacy Policy
Welcome to Previs Shot (the "Platform").
We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This privacy policy (the "Policy") sets out the basis on which any information we collect from you. If you do not agree with this Policy, you should not access or use the Platform or Services.
The Platform includes the Previs Shot mobile software applications ("Previs Shot App") and Services.
1. What information do we collect about you?
1.1 Photos
(1) [The Shot List's Frame, The Attachments of Call Sheet] Photos permissions are all sensitive permissions. We will only use them after your express authorization when you use Previs Shot to create storyboards, notifications, etc., and you can revoke the authorization at any time via Settings App. You understand and agree that after you authorize Previs Shot to access the storage space/Photos, in order to provide you with a high-quality service experience (including but not limited to improving the speed of opening local photo albums and images previews, etc.), we will access your photo album with a reasonable minimum frequency. If you do not agree, you may not authorize us this permission, or, after you authorize, you can revoke the authorization at any time via Settings App.
(2) [Special Note] We will never open and read the photos information without authorization to steal your privacy or collect your daily creation of content, and will not use such illegal means for information and advertising push.
1.2 Device information and Log information
(1) During the safe operation of software and services, we will collect your device information and log information. Device information refers to device model, network identifier, network access information, device sensor information and other information related to device performance. It may be expressed as "phone information" in mobile terminals. This does not mean that Previs Shot will collect communication content or you actively entered privacy information; log information refers to the service log generated during your use of the service.
(2) [Special note] Device and log information are also usually used in anti-cheating and judging whether the account is in a safe environment. Some information may also be used for advertising. At present, most mobile phone systems can support the change of the device identifier, and the specific method can be found in the device or manufacturer's instructions.
2. Use of personal information in main functions or services
2.1 Use behavior information, user content information
(1) [Usage Behavior] When you use the functions and services of Previs Shot (including but not limited to using Previs Shot for storyboard creation, feedback, etc.), we will record your clicks, downloads (exports), sharing and other operations behavior information.
(2) [Special note] The above information is a record of your actual use of various functions and services of Previs Shot.
3. Permissions
| Permission Name | Permission Description | Use case |
|---|---|---|
| NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription Access Photos |
Access the image in the Photos | Need to enable the Photos permission to import/edit photos into the storyboard and call sheets. We minimize the use of permissions, only access the photos when you import pictures. If you do not agree, you may deny this permission, or you close the permission via system Settings. |
4. MCP / AI Connection (macOS only)
This section applies to the macOS version of Previs Shot only. The iPhone and iPad versions do not offer this feature, do not start any local service on your device, and do not expose your project content to any AI client.
The macOS version offers an "MCP / AI Connection" feature that lets you connect Previs Shot to AI clients you install yourself (for example Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Antigravity, Cursor, Kimi Code), so those clients can read or modify your project content.
4.1 Off by default
The feature is disabled by default and must be turned on manually in Settings → MCP / AI Connection. While it is off, Previs Shot listens on no port and makes no data available to anything.
4.2 Data stays on your Mac
Once enabled, Previs Shot listens on a port bound to the loopback address 127.0.0.1 and accepts connections from your own machine only; it is not exposed to your local network or the internet. Your project content is not uploaded to our servers as a result of this feature, and we do not collect, store or view anything you read or write through it. The connection requires Previs Shot to be running and drops as soon as you quit the app.
4.3 The AI client you connect is a third party
[Special Note] When you connect Previs Shot to an AI client, the content that client reads (shot lists, schedules, call sheets, continuity logs, contacts and addresses) is handled by that client in its own way, and is typically sent to its AI service provider (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or Moonshot) for processing. That processing is not governed by this Policy. Please read and accept the privacy policies of the client and its provider before enabling the feature. You can turn the feature off at any time, or set the permission level to "Read only" to limit what can be done.
4.4 Access control
(1) Connecting requires a randomly generated access token, stored in the macOS Keychain, shown only in the settings page on your machine, and resettable at any time; resetting immediately invalidates existing configurations.
(2) Three permission levels are available — "Read only", "Allow writes" and "Allow writes and deletions" — and you choose which one applies. Deletion must be enabled explicitly.
(3) The first time a given client connects, a confirmation prompt appears and the connection is established only after you approve it.
4.5 Local activity log
So you can see what an AI client has done, we keep the most recent 200 calls (tool name, project involved, time, success or failure) on your machine. This log is stored on your device only and is never uploaded; you can review and clear it at any time in the settings page.
4.6 Exported files
PDF / XLSX files exported through this feature are saved to your Downloads folder and exist only on your machine.
